Our story

A yuzu orchard on the Atherton Tablelands

Chester Estate is a yuzu orchard at Wondecla on the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland. We grow yuzu, the fragrant citrus prized in Japanese cooking, for Australian chefs, bars and food and drink makers.

Chester Estate is run by James Rattray and his business partner Sho.

Grown, picked and sorted on the farm

Our trees grow in red volcanic soil, watered from the farm’s own lake and dams. Fruit is picked, washed and sorted on the farm.
